Chapter Two: The Old Master
Only a handful of bicycles frame makers are approved for Keirin racing in Japan. Of those builders, the most revered is the legendary Nagasawa. Yoshiaki Nagasawa was once a champion road racer, bound for the '68 Olympics in Mexico City, he suffered a career ending crash. Soon after, he moved to Italy and studied frame building under the Italian master Ugo de Rosa. Nagasawa returned to Japan and established his now famed Nagasawa Racing Bicycles, a one man shop in the lower floor of his residence. Here Nagasawa continues to build custom bicycles one at a time.
